With a bunch of new faces in the team, Kacang looks like a new born team. Attacking flair that look so pacy with combination of quality striking force make them one of the favourite of the pundits this time around. With thing are long way to go, there are still room for improvement for the player to show during current semester. The nuts will be facing this game with their full squad as no injury news occurs during the last game. Hoping to welcome back our "Crouch centreback" Achim that might probably partner Zul at the backline as Faliq is 50/50 for this game. Other than that, all player are available and ready to play.

As for Barkala Fc, we never meet them before in the league game so this should be a cracker of game. Few knowledge bout their team therefore we need to keep focus and try win the game as early as we can. So till then, player please avoid to much of rendang and keep this festive day as safe as possible and try to come on thursday as fit as Cristiano Ronaldo..

Although we never won against Dettol in a real competition,but the Nuts are 100% ready for the upcoming game and hopefully that we will step to next stage of the competition but as said before it should be a close game as we are advise not to underestimated them.

Skipper,Zul will again out for this match as he still suffered from knee ligament problem and could be out for the rest of this sem. Left winger, Faliq also doubtful because of family commitment, Wan 'Ronaldo' is 50/50 for this game. Other than that, we have our full squad up ready for this clash. In form Syah 'Scholes' will be try to be on score sheet once again as his partnership with Hadi 'Melo' could be the decider between the two teams.

Salsa beat Kacang 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out to win a spot in the next round of the winner's pool, after the game were draw at 1-1 scoreline..but luckly we still have one more game to play,which is the losing pool,against Dettol FC on the 24th of November at MMU field..hope we can proceed to next stage..:)

Comments:

Goalkeeper- Played well and made one great save,although, did not managed to save any of the penalty

Defenders- NOT organized well, play the line really 'up' on the pitch, need to be more aggresive

Midfielders- Lack of fitness, need to gel up fast, positioning need to improved

Strikers- Need to 'sharpen' their finishing

Referee- Useless, our player have been kicked and tackled but no action were taken..

We never had a history game against Salsa before so hope its gonna be a cracker..

Kacang hope to be able to line up all their first team player for this match. We'll welcome back our first team keeper,Zul Janggut, and also two pacey winger Afiq Robben and Din Agbonlahor. Faliq Vela gonna be 'doubtful" as always..Other than that, Kacang have their full squad ready..

Hadi Melo is in electrifying form at the moment confirmed how much he is relishing the role he played. Syah Scholes who played his best season ever last sem, has struck up a formidable understanding with Hadi at the creative heart of the Kacangs' team.

It was windy and cloudy evening which was a superb condition for a football match..Kacang kick start their first friendly match for this semester with 1-0 scoreline against Spirulina, thanks to Hadi thunderous shot. It was a close match with both sides tried to attack but lacked of finishing seems to be main problem..The nuts were without their first keeper,Zul Janggut, Afiq Robben, Din Agbonlahor, Achim , Amir and Wan Ronaldo..

Comments:

GK-Zam(1st half): steady n ready when needed..need to buy glove
-Fahmi(2nd half): make a couple of superb save,seems like mannone

CB-BeQ : good play
-Fahmi(1st half) : play well,need to improved his timing of tackle
-Qays(2nd half) : not really comfortable playing at centre,but good game overall

RB-Hee : a debut game for him, a few overlap run and good defending

LB- Mirul : need to improved on his positioning and passing
Zam : play OK

DM-Usop : good to have him back,need to pass more and "clear" less

CM-Hadi : a decent performance
-ZuL : had a couple of 50/50 chances but fairly subdued

Match Report : Kacang demolished Crescent into pieces

It was windy and cloudy evening which was a good for a football match but the match started late because the arrival of the referee and his two match officials.

Kacang started well with Hadi bursting past Crescent's midfields to unleash a through ball for striker Asif but Crescent's defender did well to intercept the pass. From then on, the ball was mostly played in the opponent's half where Kacang's managed to control the match with their attacking play.

Shots from Afiq "Robben", Syah "Scholes", Zul "Vermaelen" and Hadi "Melo" was blocked by the defenders and goalie. Everyone thought Asif have scored the first goal when he managed to have a clear chance in front of goal when the goalie who did not get a clean catch but instead, he struck wide. Syah scored his second goal of the campaign from a close range shot just inside the penalty area. Crescent's attacks mostly came from counter attacking play but Kacang's defensive mid and defenders fast to react. But Crescent's finally managed to score a long range shot(sebijik cm amri yahya) that make Zul Janggut frustrated with his positioning judgement.

The first half ended with 1-1. Kacang's skipper, Zul, talking during the half time,he furiously said "We underestimed them in the 1st half,we have a lot of chances but suprisingly did not manage to put the game into bed". He added that Kacang's looking to add more goals for the second half and bring the game to bed asap. The nuts changed the formation to 4-4-2 with star striker Wan . Faliq, Beq and Zam were introduced . Beq "Vucinic" was changed to the left flank, Faliq "Vela" left back, Zam "Alves" playing right back and Wan "Ronaldo" joined Syah "Scholes" upfront. The changed formation did favour Kacang's as they seems able to control the match especially in the midfield area. Wan "Ronaldo" proved that he still a prolific striker when his thunderous shot after just 20 seconds being on the field, makes it 2-1. After that,its all about Kacang's. Syah scored his 2nd goal of the game, with a nice volley. Then, Wan "Ronaldo" scored 2 more goals, to completed his "hattrick" and send the game to bed. That game finished with 5-1 result.

After the game, Syah that was handed the "MOTM" award earlier, quoted saying that " I believe that Kacang's can go far if they can keep this list of players", he also added that today game is unbelieveable and happy to help the team win today.

The match against Gakerata was a well fought match. Both teams played counter attacking play ,with Gakerata attacking more in the second half, as most of the Kacang player were “pancit” by then .The best chance for kacang came when Faliq vela was given a nice thru ball, but hesitate to finish it of as he wasn’t comfortable taking a shot with his left foot .Gakerata had 2 clear chances ,both time the ball hit the frame work ,but refuse to go in. The kacang captain Zul vermaelen played the best game so far this season, with brave tackles and thunderous clearance. Kacang player of the match would have been won by zul,if only such award existed . Fahmi played the worst ,showing nervousness getting the most of him.Many time he was “gangbang” by Gakerata’s left wing ,and left back .Wan , Kacangs top striker made an appearance after recovering from an ankle injury,and showed glimpse of brilliance towards the end of the match. Over all, in can be concluded that kacang had a great day in the office .
Next match will be against Crescent at the shell field on Thursday,at 5.30. There wont be any ratings as I didn’t watch the whole game.

Kacang Win Again!

Kacang scored their second win from two League matches and continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-0 win over Nakal FC.

Nakal's player put in a good effort in the 2nd half but on the balance of play Kacang were deserved winners. Despite the low scoreline both teams made plenty of good opportunities, including an unbelievable miss from Afiq Robben from no more than six yards out in the opening minute. Kacang then get their opening goal on 15 minutes when Hadi Melo’s thunderous shot was deflected by the defender past the hopeless Nakal's goalkeeper. The 2nd goal arrived few minutes later,when a long ball into the area deflected to a charging Afiq Robben and the forward slammed the ball into the back of the net.

In the second half, Kacang make few changes that somehow effected the game play. credit must be given to the likes of Amir, Chim, Fahmi, Qays and also the outstanding goalkeeping by Zul Janggut. In summary, another three points and another solid performance from Kacang's players.

Nice game guys, although there are room for improvement but yet we have done it..So,after this please do come for training..As we can see,our level of fitness need to be improve asap..here we go,rating time :

Zul Janggut 7 - Was solid and brave. Good debut.

Qays 7.5 - Reliable and very quick to recover. Consistent as always.

Fahmi 7 - Few overlap and flying tackles but seem to lost his pace due to holiday eating festival.

Amir 7 - Very dependable at the back. Covered alot of ground at the back and swiped off almost every attack.

Zul 7 - As always there when needed

Azim 7 - Solid performance as DM and cut out most of the opponent's attack through the middle.

Syah 8(MOTM) - Ran the midfield and was always available for the ball. Some intelligent passes.Scored the 2nd goal with a sweet strike.

Adam 7 - Covered alot of ground in midfield.His crossing cause nightmares for defenders.

Zam 6.5 - Some good runs from the right but can improve on his defending side of the game.Need to improve fitness level.

Din 7.5 - Good runs off the ball and caused alot of problem for the opponents defence with his runs and dribbling.Few shot that cause headache to the keeper.

Asif 7 - Amazing hold up play.Good debut.

Qays Clichy has voice out his opinion for the first time by saying the team need new players to win in big matches. The outspoken left back who had been by far the most consistent player in the team made his point earlier today. He clarified,"Kacang need 2 or 3 more additions in the squad to be equally competitive with others. Next season will be so much different for Kacang as a lot of players are away for their industrial training programs. A good friend of Qays by the name of Peng Trachowski is rumoured will be joining the team as a backup player. Qays added,"He is quite small but I like his determination, he fights for every ball".

I would like to thanks all the Kacang's players for their effort and determination this semester, althought we didnt managed to get through to the quater-final but we have shown a great character throughout this campaign by getting 2nd place in group stage by winning 2 game,a draw and lost 2 games(including the 2nd round knockout game). From what i observed, we were definately lacked in term of fitness and not hard enough when it come to a physical game. So,im hopping that we will improve more in term of fitness and physical next sem..its an honour to play with u guys..for those who will have to go for practical/intenship next sem,have fun and gud luck. Until then,get ready with ur notes and enjoy playing wif ur pen..buena suerte para su examen final!!!

Usop (L) with a friend at a party in KL.

The Kacang board would like to wish all the best to Usop Fabregas for his contribution to the team. He has been a Kacang player for two years now (2007 -2009). He will be sorely missed on the pitch by the players. Although he has small frame, he tend to be very robust and is a no-nonsense type of player. The manager has confirmed that Usop will undergo his practical next semester in KL, so he will not be available for next season. Rumour has it that Kacang is looking for a new defensive midfielder to replace the absence of Usop. Among the candidates are Wizurai's Faiq, Black Emperor's big man Din and other honorable mentions. This is a short biography of him during his playing career:

- was coached under Bojan Hodak in the nike football youth academy (2003-2004)
- was a striker during his school days and used to have the "pace" back then.
- represent his school when he was 16 (Zon Bangsar).
- played for Wizurai FC back in Melaka (2005-2006) and Cyber (2006-2007) and was a central midfielder turned right back.
- hates being on the losing end of any football game, even during friendly matches.
- believes that Kacang FC can go far if they stay together and rates Syah Scholes and Qays Clichy highly.

Ok, we lost. But it is not the end of the world right?.Shit happens. A brave Kacang side were knocked out by a far superior team by the name of Cyberheat. They lost the game 4-1. It is the biggest defeat that is being tasted by Kacang this season. Injuries to the team and lacked match fitness did not help either. They were without key personnel up front, Faliq Vela and his influenced were sorely missed. I am bitterly disappointed about it, but try to look on the bright side. Kacang fc are now playing better as a unit and are not afraid to "play" their football. I am not in the mood to put out the ratings for the match, but i can assure you that this young team would only get better in the near future. All the best guys!, Thx for the experience;)

Can Kacang bare the heat?

Kacang fc have been drawn against the might of Cyberheat in the second round. The team which consists big number of foreign players has been impressive through out the campaign. Kacang have never played against them before, so there will be little knowledge about the two teams when they meet on friday at the MMU Stadia.

Kacang who had just lost once during their road to the 2nd round, had been superb in their run in the campaign. Star striker, Wan Ronaldo had been scoring every game hence he is the joint top scorer in the league along with Black Emperor's Fauzan and Wizurai's Atoi.

Whatever it is, the team would want a win on friday and they need all the luck in the world to do just that. They will play without tough tackling right back, Fahmi Ramos who have just undergo a dental surgery yesterday. "We will try and win it for Fahmi this friday and try our best to beat them", urged club captain Zul Mexes.

Prediction : It's going to be tight alright but I'll go with a Kacang victory 2-1.

Kacang fc have booked a place in the knock out round of the MMU Champions League. They played their last group match against 3rd place Black Emperor. It was a stalemate between those two as it finished 0-0. Kacang fc is all over the place as Black Emperor controlled the game and attacked continuosly in both halves. "I thought we were lucky to go through", said Kacang's captain Zul Mexes. He than added that, "Credits should be given to the boys as they played their heart out and are brave enough to play with a number of key players missing in the 1st half. Although it has been a one sided game, many pundits felt that Kacang fc could still spring a surprise this season in the MMU Champions League.

Player Ratings for Kacang vs Black Emperor

Kodek 8 - Back in the team with a couple of brilliant saves,very commanding.

Qays 6 - Very few overlap runs but several good touches, was a bit tired today.

Fahmi 6 - Good hard tackle in one occasion, poor in the air because of his the pain he suffered with those teeth according to him.

Zul 7 - Played well in the 1st half, Kacang struggled at the back as he went back earlier regarding mid term exams.

Beq 6 - Looked uncomfortable at center back as he preferred his midfield role as always, few good defensive headers.

Usop 6 - Agressive as always, few crunching tackles but gave a lot of silly freekicks in Kacang's half, lucky not to get booked.

Syah 7 - Was quiet today, could not connect with Din and Afiq that much, but cleared off the line to denied the opponent a goal in the dying minutes.

Azad 7.5 - Very hardworking and trackked his man well, could do something with his fitness though. Overall, good job defensively.

Afiq 7 - A few shots attempted at goal and missed a one on one chance with only the keeper to beat, should have done better.

Din 6 - Poor first touches, lacked a bit of magic today. Did little to trouble the opponent defence.

Alep 5 - Did not track back often enough, a lot of mispasses and was clearly the weakest link today.

Subs;

Wan 5.5 - Star player Wan came in late as a sub, had a few shots but poor teamwork skills, tend not to pass the ball, he reminds me of Ronaldo in his 1st season, poor.

Mirol 6 - Challenged well in the 2nd half but poor positioning.

Nakib 5 - Does not seem to gel with the team just yet.

Faliq 7 - Good defensive play went he was brought in, solid, plus a kick on a face to the opponent as a gift.

Hazley 1 - MIA.

Jai 5 - Unused sub,did well to cheer the team up and learnt a few things from Kodek's performance today.

Kacang FC v Black Emperor: Key Battles

Two of the MMU league big rivals come face to face in the MMU Champions League battle next week. Kacang Metromail looks at some of the areas where the match may be won and lost.

ZUL MEXES v UBEN FK

ZuL was a more than capable defender before he joined from Chikaro but having been handed the captaincy by Kacang's management he has grown into a real leader, although he has a tendency to lose his cool every so often.The centre-back also offers a threat at set-pieces and hope his goal against Black Emperor at the end of last semester friendly can be repeated.

Uben has enjoyed a sensational debut season in Cyberjaya. The striker provides the cutting edge for Black Emperor and his pace and sharpness around the box will pose a threat for the Nuts.

SYAH SCHOLES v DIN

The midfield area in any football game is crucial and games are won and lost here. In Syah Scholes have one of the most highly rated and reputed midfield enforcers in the Cyberjaya. His awesome athletisism, strenght and power have made him one of the forces Therefore in order for Black Emperor to stop Kacang from building up a head of steam they will have to stop Syah.

This job will definately be handed to Din one of the revelations of the season so far. Din combines a good work rate with skill and technique. His midfield forays also enable him to grab his fair share of goals. However he will need to use all his ability to prevent Kacang and in particular Syah from dominating the midfield in what could prove an extremely important battle.

USOP FABREGAS v BULL

Usop,will be keen to keep him quiet. Defensively Kacang have been strong at times this season and he'll have to be at his best, both as an organiser at the heart of the battle and as an individual, using his strength and positional awareness to make sure that his side aren't bullied by the more physical opposition.

WAN RONALDO v SYAM

Le King has been in breathtaking form this season. He is arguably the best striker in the Cyberjaya and althought doubtedly the quickest. This season has seen Wan become the leading scorer in the MMU league. In Wan Kacang have an almost perfect striker. His pace and skill give the team an extra dimension and these are undeniably the two characteristics that defenders hate.

It is highly likely that Syam will be appointed with this dreaded task. One of the form players at the moment Syam is one of the reasons why the Black Emperor has built up a reputation as being one of the moist solid defences around. His strenght in the air,sense of positioning and playing of the ball out of defence are all excellent. However it remains to be seen wether or not he will be able to compensate for a lack of genuine pace with his great sense of anticipation. If not Wan could run riot.

Wan with his "old" teammates

Black emperor was founded in 2006, a year before Kacang fc was born. They are famous for their "all-black" attire and half of the team are made of MMU rugby players. So they tend to be fit and aggressive individuals. One Kacang player that knows more than any other Kacang player about Black emperor is Wan Ronaldo. He played for them before a few seasons ago and scored a number of goals for them, so it was a good spell for Wan during his emperor days. Wan added,"They are very strong physically and tend to break down attacks very fast, so we need to be more clever in our play and match them in every department. Kacang will meet them on either 31st March or 1st April. The date for the clash is yet to be confirmed. Anyway, the Kacang contingent remains positive and hope to progress to the next round with a win. Prediction, its going to be tight but I'll go for a 2-1 Kacang win. Cheers;)

Jai 7 - Few indecisions but was reasonably solid and brave. Good debut.

Qays 7 - Reliable and very quick to recover. Consistent as always.

Fahmi 7.5 - Extra points for those crunching tackles. Brave as usual.

Zul 9(MOTM) - Kacang Fc's unsung hero so far in current campaign. Very dependable at the back. Covered alot of ground at the back and swiped off almost every attack. Better than Vidic.

Azim 7 - As always, monstrous in the air, few miskicks but was good enough before the injury.

Usop 8 - Solid performance as DM and cut out most of the opponent's attack through the middle.

Syah 8.5 - Ran the midfield and was always available for the ball. Some intelligent passes.

Azad 8 - Covered alot of ground in midfield. Very mobile and hardworking. Some good tackles to break up opponents posession. Great assist for the 3rd goal.

Faliq 8 - Some good runs from the left but can improve on his defending side of the game. An assist and goal each. Good performance.

Din 7.5 - Good runs off the ball and caused alot of problem for the opponents defence with his runs and dribbling.

Wan 9 - Amazing hold up play. The 2 goals summed up his performance. Seems to score in every single match.

Subs;
Beq 7 - Linked up well with zul in 2nd half. Few mancis kicks but was not in dangerous situations. Was there when needed.

Mirol 7 - Good runs and covering on the left hand side. Can improve more on his positioning.

Afiq 7 - Good debut. Intellegent runs on the wing and some good deliveries. Can improve more on his defending side of the game.

Nakib 6.5 - Did his job in midfield reasonably well. Can improve on his link up play.

Alep 6.5 - Good play on the left hand side before being switched to DM. Good link up play.

Hadi 6.5 - Good debut. Not fully fit but a reasonably fine performance. Some good 1st touches. Reliable and always available. Good cameo.

Hazley 6.5 - Minus points for his miss-timed header. Should have scored. Some good runs on the break. Can improve more on his positioning.

Kodek 10 - For being to near to the goal. Should have been carded by the ref for his rebellious act.

Aziz -8 - MIA.

Kacang vs Genki Noob - Match Report

Its a bird!, its a plane!, no...it is Nuts Power a its best!. A clean sheet, one touch football game play and goals from the Kacang team. What more can u ask for?. Its a flawless performance from the lads as Kacang beat helpless Genki 3-0. A brace from star player, Wan Ronaldo and one from Faliq Vela killed the game from Genki's point of view. It would probably sent Kacang into the next round. Its a vital 3 points from the boys.

The first half was all Kacang, as they control the tiempo of the game and almost scored first when Wan received a ball from Syah, only for the keeper to collect it. But soon after that, Kacang attack patiently. A slow build up from Zul to Qays and the leftback thread a ball for Faliq who was achres of space in the wings. Faliq saw Wan who was unmarked and play a clever through ball to him and as you would guess. Wan scores again!, he chipped a ball over the helpless Genki Keeper.

The second goal was pretty similar with the first one, this time it was assist king, Syah Scholes' through ball. Wan was lucky as his first shot was blocked and then get a rebound to score as the keeper fumbled. The pitch was a bit wet though, some of the areas is muddy and watery. Third goal was nicely crafted by Azad Carrick and Din Agbonlahor. They play a nice one two in the wings and Din cut inside and square a ball to Faliq who was unmarked again and he scores with the easiest of touches.

Second half was a bit different, it was more open as Genki started to play and press more often. But the back four of Kacang was superb today in keeping the strikers of Genki quiet. They had a foreign player but he created little chance and was awful. Kacang again tried to attack from time to time but failed to capitalized on miss chances. Genki played roughly, as their players try to close down early on every ball that came to Kacang's way. Tackles flying in, fight was about to happened but it was all cool as the Kacang players laugh off the immaturity of Genki's. New arrivals Afiq and his friend was brought in. Afiq had a couple of clear cut chances only to be denied by the keeper. Hazley Villa miss timed header was also a talking point. There were no serious injuries apart from the crude challenge to Azad and Usop, but there were 2 yellows given to Beq Vucinic and Afiq for interfering the opponent to take a freekick. Despite all of it, Kacang was better off in every position and was superb on the evening. Goodluck for the next match guys!!..Vamos Kacang!!

Nahfiz : i'm back!

Ex-Kacang fc striker Wayne Nahfiz(pic) hopes to be able to come back into the team in the effort to boost Kacang fc chances to finish at least top two in the group. Though, having said that, Nahfiz are more interested to start by helping the current team by joining the coaching staff before slowly coming back as a player himself. The ex-Selangor youth striker has been busy managing his own entrepreneurship company, Asssal Weyh Sdn Bhd, hence, explaining his 2 years absence from the sport. Kacang Terjah Magazine caught up with masculine lad, after watching his favourite team Man utd getting “belasah” or trounced at home by the Lowly Liverpool, commented, “My passion and commitment for Kacang Fc has never changed throughout this couple of years and I am going to try my very best to prove this loyalty to the team. I might not be fit enough to enter the field just yet because of the diameter of my stomach, though I will definitely contribute my vast experience in playing the beautiful game to assist this talented group of footballers”. Asked about his current weight, the player smiled and replied “It's not the body weight that matters, what matters is the passion for the game itself”. Wayne Nahfiz who last played for Kacang Fc in 2007 is expected to be attending tomorrow's game against Genki Noob Fc.

Mal Berba confident that he will be fit next sem.

Kacang central defender Mal Berba’s rehabilitation from his long-term knee injury seems to be causing a strain to his mindset, confesses the Bulgarian international, who hopes for a quick return to action for the MMU league.

22-year old central defender Mal Berba has found the recovery process a burden to his mind and to add to it, he also finds it hard to watch his Nuts team-mates in action from the stands at the MMU Stadium.

"Everyone surely knows that I am not in my ideal state of mind, the one I used to be in when I was in Kacang's starting line-up two or three times a week," Mal said on his website.

"Now I am playing a different game. I have been working hard every single day and want to be back soon. I need to be patient."

"I have to respect Kacang management's decision not to comment on my state of health, as it's their choice and they have been doing their maximum to have me back in action," Mal added.

"I am not the first or the last football player who has been sidelined for a year."

Mal, who has not made a single appearance for the North Cyberjaya club in the MMU league or any other competition so far this season, gave a ray of hope to the Kacang fans, saying: "I am looking forward to when I will be able to say to the fans 'I am fit and going to play at the weekend'. I believe it will not be a long wait."

Kacang's hardman, Usop Fabregas (inset) feels that he has not gain his best form of late after suffering an ankle injury last two weeks against a brave Sepang-yol side. It was believed that, two Sepang-yol players had violently tackled the pint-sized midfielder. He, however has recovered from an ankle injury and has started training with the team on a daily basis. The game which ended in a 2-2 draw, was a wake up call for most of the Kacang players as they have learnt not to underestimate their opponents. Team captain, Zul Mexes commented,"Sepang-yol is a different side this time around,"They have reinforced their side with several new signings and look stronger this season". Usop then added,"I think that I am ready for the clash against Genki and hopefully gain full fitness. The midfielder, 22 was tremendous last season as he formed a supreb understanding with both Syah Scholes and Azad Carrick to helped the team reached the semifinals of the MMU Cup. The trio are pivotal in running the engine room of Kacang.

Kacang boss Sheikh Al-Pacino says Syah Scholes needs a goal.

"Syah just needs a goal to get him going again," Al-Pacino told the Kacang Evening Post.

"As an owner, I have to decide how long to give it, can he get us a goal? I believe that he can deliver it real soon."

"You'll find that if natural goalscorers aren't scoring, they beat themselves up mentally, and a little bit of their confidence goes,” he added.

"If a goal bounces in off Syah's backside, he would probably be capable of getting another six goals before the end of the season. We'll see how he does.

"Syah is a bit of a one-off, he can either be on a real high or feeling really down, he needs to find equilibrium."

Ahead of the the upcoming Monday match-up between Kacang and Genki Noob, Mirul Puyol confidently without any doubt what so ever stated that it will be one fine evening of football, "aku rase isnin ni hujan tak turun sebab byk dh hujan turun mingu ni." quotes the jambu-est player in the team(could have been fahmi it not for his nose). The no nonsense fullback known for his tulang keting tackling, complained of the wet whether that been spoiling most of the matches in the Champion's League this term. Puyol's fellow fullback, Qays Clichy who is slightly pious than the former coyly responded by saying “Ye President” as his religious belief does not go well with Puyol's confident prediction. This having been said due to last week's incident, on a cloudy Tuesday evening, where Puyol again, confidently, said “ hujan macam ni kejap je”. Faliq Vela who was with him at that time almost believed in the statement made by Mirol Puyol only to be disappointed by the actual event. Mirul Puyol started his career as a guitarist in his early days in MMU but his talent and aggresiveness was spotted by Kacang's captain Zul Mexes when he witnessed Puyol's strength in throwing chairs, thus giving the captain the idea to train the lad as a defender.

Mirul wears a shade as a disguise from fans

Kacang's leftback Mirul Puyol has left frustrated when he has not given more playing time by the manager. Being 2nd fiddle for most of the season, Mirul explained that he should be in the starting 11 for most of the matches played. "I know I have to be patient and work hard to make the first 11 but I guess my patience has ran out". Mirul who contracts will run out at the end of the season even threat the Kacang board and made a public announcement to the club,"If my love for football is getting lesser each and everyday then I should opted for another career line such starting a rock band with my bandmates,"he added.

Faliq still wants to play a fool

Ex-Kacang Captain Faliq Vela have been fined $750 for driving without a licence here today in KL. Despite all those hassles, Faliq said," I did not realised that my licence was expired till I was caught tonight". The Kacang board however was very defensive of Faliq. They claimed that Faliq was not in this position before. The board explained,"He was a teriffic servant for us and he played his heart out when he was the captain of the team". Earlier this month, the wideman was in a brawl with Kacang teammate Mirko Beq Vucinic. The Serb claimed that Faliq was not a good captain and lacked ambition. Faliq had also reportedly missed several team trainings and was not even in the starting 11 against the sky blue of Cool Utd when they met in a friendly earlier today. Rumour has it, Spirulina FC would love to have the 22 year old back for his services, as he was their top scorer two seasons ago.

Post-Mortem: A lot of absenties in today's friendly against Cool. For whatever reasons, I hope it is worth it. Commitment with the team is a priority. Kacang played well in the first half with two F&F imports, Zul and Boynaldo. They blend well with the team and create a lot of chances in the first half. Syah and Azad had a good game in midfield. Star player Wan had an average game but scored the winning goal via a corner from Alep in the dying minutes of the 2nd half. Its an ok result at the end. Better luck next time!

The Nuts have signed Reza(Jaja Etoo') from French club Lyon.

The Cameroon forward has been on trial at "The Nuts" and has impressed manager enough to be offered a professional contract at the club.

The 21-year-old striker is still developing his game, but has impressed in a couple of appearances for the reserves.

And Jaja Etoo' has said that he's happy to be joining the Nuts, saying: "Life has been very good. In Cyberjaya you can never get bored and with guys like Beq Vucinic, Syah Scholes and Along Drogba it is easy to get used to the life here.

"Of course I am very, very happy with my decision to come to Kacang. Even though this year has been difficult because of injury I think next sem will be much better. I am excited for it, and I have no regrets.

"I picked up a knee injury so it had been difficult because until recently I was feeling pain. But it is on the mend now. It is not too difficult for me to play regularly for the Reserves as ultimately it will help my development.

"I think I have already improved a lot here and I know that I can get much better as a striker or as a wide man. I have a lot of progress to make and I am looking forward to doing it.

"I would like to play more reserve football. Perhaps I would like to train more with the first team too."

Kacang's midfielder Azad Carrick has publicly criticized the level of professionalism of refeering in the league. He said,"Every decision that is being made by them are against us and that is not very fair". Azad who claimed that he should have had a penalty against arch-rivals Wizurai in the 2nd half of the match was bitterly disappointed. Wizurai won the match 2-1. The Kacang board and fellow players had manage to calmed Azad down after the match and he is reportedly content with himself now but send this message to the public,"I hope that every game is treated with fairness and high level of professionalism is much needed in the future.

Zul Mexes - all smiles when the news was announced

The Kacang FC board has named a new captain for the new 2008/2009 season. Zul Mexes has replaced Faliq Vela as the new captain. "He has good leadership qualities and can command well with players around him", said a spokesperson from the Kacang board. Zul Mexes was a center midfielder before, he than opted a new role for this season that is to become a central defender. With his robust frame and no nonsense attitude, the Kacang team can expect a more dominant season. He also had spent a short stint with Sepangyol FC back in 2008.

There are a few rumors saying that Kacang will be without their several first team players on the D-day against Genki Noob FC. Doubts continues as team captain Zul Mexes, Usop Fabregas and even Kodek Almunia are expected to be out. Zul Mexes has an unfinish business on the day while both Kodek and Usop are out with hand and ankle injuries. "Time is against us and we at Kacang never underestimate our opponents. Genki Noob is strong as a unit and they can spring a few surprises along the way",said Faliq Vela. Faliq added,"Their strikers are fast and can be quite lethal during counter attacks, one striker who caught my eye this season is Hazwan Hussien or better known as Awan". Despite all the talks that surround the dressing room, Kacang's top scorer, Wan Ronaldo says that anything can happen in a game like this, maybe we can score an early goal and switch to defensive mode for the rest of the 2nd half or so,this can frustrate the yellows of Genki.

Kacang's no.1 custodian Kodek Almunia is confident of seeing himself in action against Genki Noob on the 16th of March(Monday). Kodek has suffered a minor injury to his fingers and right arm after tussling with Lanun FC's player better known as "Beach Boy" to the Kacang fowl. Kodek has been missing in action for quite some time and has been replaced by backup goalie, Jai Reina. Jai has been impressive during the friendly against Sepangyol which ended in a 2-2 draw. It is only his first ever appearance as a goalie. Jai concluded,"I am pretty nervous at first and only God knows how I am feeling right now,but thanks to the solid work from the Kacang's defenders who saves Jai's blushes.

The 22 year old rightback said earlier today,"We have all the qualities to match against the big teams in MMU,if we have the believe,than finishing top 2 in the group would not be a problem for us".
